Ability to mass edit mandatory/required work items

I am aware of the following article "https://connectedsource.pwcinternal.com/toolkits/concourse-guide/whats-new/new-features/july-2024 Mandatory work items With PDM workspaces, we are introducing mandatory work items, which are firm requirements related to Project and Quality Management. These items are crucial for the successful completion of engagements, ensuring quality and compliance. Mandatory work items cannot be edited or deleted to ensure we maintain consistency in delivery across engagements. These items will be visually distinguished, and the Required field will be read-only. The Tasks and Sub-Tasks of mandatory Deliverables will also be marked as mandatory, except if they are user-created. Drag and drop, conversion, and changing a status to Withdrawn are also disabled for mandatory work items, with appropriate tooltips provided. For users syncing with JIRA, mandatory work items cannot be deleted, and their status is synced as a new custom field in JIRA. This prevents status changes to Withdrawn for these items. If a user attempts to edit the title of a mandatory work item in JIRA, the system will override the change, sync back the original title, and send a comment to both Concourse and JIRA informing the user that the change is not permitted."

However users are also not able to mass update the status to non-withdrawn statuses (no checkboxes) vs they are able to do so for manually "mandatory"-marked work items;

I know this is by design (INC23009724) but this could be an improvement

    Thank you for your suggestion and appreciate your input. This feedback has been reviewed by the Concourse product team and based on current design, this is working as intended. The recently updated PDM scoping process when setting up a workspace now allows easy selection and deselection of work items. This process is done prior to the workspace being created and allows review of work items before activating and creating the workspace. Additional information on scoping can be found here.
