Disable Team Member Management in Jira

Put Simply:
To maintain consistency and reduce confusion, users should not see the ability to add or manage team members directly in Jira. All team member access and role assignments should be controlled through Concourse, where proper permissions, mappings, and governance are enforced. The current Jira interface for adding users is misleading—it appears active but is non-functional.

Why It Matters:

  • Improves governance: Ensures access is managed according to approved workflows and practice standards.

  • Reduces confusion: Prevents users from attempting to add teammates in Jira, only to find it doesn't work—creating frustration and support tickets.

  • Centralizes access control: Keeps the source of truth for team membership within Concourse, where role, territory, and practice alignment is already managed.
