Put Simply:
You’ll now be able to see your project’s activities and deliverables as associated with delivery standards, so you can quickly apply consistent sets of best practices to your project plan.
Problem Statement:
Currently, there’s no unified way to attach predefined standards to work items in PDM. This leads to inconsistency and missed opportunities to leverage best practices.
Solution Scope:
In this first phase, we’ll let Admin users associate level 3 and 4 work items with delivery standards and see those associations in their project scoping views. The content-heavy frameworks and pro-tips will come in a later phase. Additionally, associating delivery standards with offerings will be managed separately in the admin portal.
High-Level Acceptance Criteria:
Given an Admin User is creating or managing a Delivery Standard in Admin Portal, when they update the Standard, they can select Activities and Deliverables from PDM as relevant to the Standard.
Given a user is managing an Offering Detail in Admin Portal, the Offering Detail can be associated with one or many Delivery Standards and the Activities and Deliverables from that Standard will be automatically added to the Offering
Users should be able to remove any work items from the Offering that the Standard dictates as a starting point.
Given a project has added an Offering with Activities and Deliverables tagged to Delivery Standards, when a user views the scoping plan, then they can see which delivery standards are tagged to each item.
Given a user is viewing a work item in scoping that is tagged to a Delivery Standard, there will be a link to take the user to the Connected Source page URL for that named Delivery Standard.
Given a project without existing delivery standards, when a user wants to add one, then they can select from a list of available standards and apply it to the project.
And of course, once the feature is ready, we’ll have some excited release notes to say something like, "You are now able to easily tag and standardize your project’s activities with delivery standards!"
