Add Work Item Asset Data to Delivery Plan Table

Put Simply:

Allow users to see the number of assets associated with each work item directly in the Delivery Plan table without needing to open the work item detail panel and display the total unique asset count in the table footer alongside other work item counts.

Problem Statement:

Currently, users must open a work item’s detail panel to determine whether assets are associated with that item. This is inefficient and makes it difficult to assess asset coverage across multiple deliverables or confirm asset availability prior to export or activation.

PDM Architects and engagement teams have requested better visibility into asset associations to validate completeness of delivery plans and confirm asset utilization across scopes.

Apart from seeing Asset that can be leverage, would like to see for Activity based deliverable mapped, what are current AI tools that are available that can be leveraged for the work item.

    Hi @Emma Gattuso ,
technically there is no possibility as for now to see L5-L6 covered by assets and track % of asset coverage to the offerings content [especially if we think about AI solutions]. It will be important to see and monitor such data to maintain existing and create new assets.

    Kind regards

    Olek

Hi @Brittany McCann and @Oleksandr Prokopiv - Thank you for your feedback! Update for you - I recently chatted with our Assets team and they informed me that, in the near future, there will be content updates so that assets are mapped to offerings, rather than the work items themselves. We would then surface associated assets in the Offerings detail panel, just like we do today with associated work items. With that future information, is there still a need to surface the asset count at the work item level in the Delivery Plan? What about the total unique asset count for the scope?

Happy to set up a time for us to discuss further as well if needed!

Additional point to have some visibility if some deliverable / task / sub-task is supported by AI Assets.

Hi @Brittany McCann - I created this idea based on our conversation earlier! Nothing for you to do at this time, just for your awareness!
