When creating a Concourse workspace, engagement teams have to select a project type and a workspace type. While there is guidance on a project type, there is currently none for a workspace type to let them know that "Client" means the workspace is for client work and Save It will be provisioned accordingly. Some teams think, "Client" means you want to use the workspace with the client (i.e., a feature that Client Portal offers), so they choose “PwC Internal” thinking they are not going to use the workspace with the client, because they have already chosen, for example, “Consulting (General)” but not "Internal" as a project type. This lack of clarity is causing some engagement teams having to re-create workspaces after extensively using wrongly created ones. Within the past two weeks or so, I have dealt with 3 known situations, and I think there might be some out there that they have not yet realized this issue. Oftentimes, teams get to know the error when they cannot find Save It associated with their workspaces.
To address this issue, I suggest the following:
- Provide guidance for the workspace type drop down items, similar to the project type where, for example, “Consulting (Cybersecurity)” means "For Consulting projects with high security requirements".
- Have different color themes or something distinctive to differentiate “Internal” and “Client” workspaces to vividly alert users about the types of workspaces that they are in.
