Integration of Confluence with Jira Cloud

Put Simply: Pilot the integration of Confluence with Jira Cloud to streamline knowledge sharing and documentation.

Why it Matters: Integrating Confluence with Jira Cloud provides a centralized platform for documentation and collaboration, enhancing team productivity and reducing reliance on external tools:

  • Native Integration with Jira: Facilitates seamless communication and documentation directly within the Jira ecosystem.

  • Easier Data Sourcing: Enables effortless document referencing and access within Jira, improving workflow efficiency.

  • Single Ecosystem: Supports a unified work environment, potentially replacing tools like Miro with Confluence's whiteboard capabilities.

  • Collaborative Documentation: Enhances team collaboration through shared knowledge resources and global search functionality.

What's Needed:

  • Conduct a proof of concept (POC) to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating Confluence with Jira Cloud.

  • Implement features that support centralized documentation and collaboration directly in Jira Cloud.

  • Ensure seamless integration to improve knowledge sharing and streamline project management processes.

What's in Scope:

  • Pilot the use of Confluence for integrated documentation and collaboration within Jira Cloud.

  • Development of integration tools to support efficient knowledge sharing and documentation access.

  • Analysis of how Confluence integration enhances team productivity and collaboration.

  • Creation of documentation and training resources to assist teams in using Confluence effectively within Jira Cloud.

I think one think we need to be mindful of here is the principle around whiteboarding tools as well.

I don't think we can simply say replace miro especially as a lot of bxt / codesign teams leverage this.
