Dynamic/Conditional Drivers

Put Simply Statement:
Allow a single user input (driver) to impact multiple work items differently. (i.e. a Driver has 1.5x / 2x / 2.5x uplift for Driver 1 / 2 / 3

Allow a driver to have varying impact depending on Project details (i.e. N of Offerings in scope, Duration of Project, Domain based, Complexity based, etc) Note - this would likely be captured as part of the Custom Calculation Logic requirement.

Why it Matters:
Simplifies the user experience while maintaining calculation accuracy and supporting complex estimation scenarios.

What’s Needed:

  • Logic for mapping one driver input to multiple work items.

  • Logic to have differing driver uplifts depending on the work item

    • something like when assigning it to more than one work item you get a message "would you like to use the already existing value(s) or create a new value

  • UI for configuring and reviewing driver impacts.

  • Transparent reporting of all driver impacts.

  • Early ACs:

    • Drivers can be mapped to impact multiple work items.

    • Users can see and adjust how drivers affect each item.

    • Calculation outputs are clearly displayed and traceable.
